
Alberta minister points to ‘old code’ as cause of multiple emergency alerts

Alberta’s Public Safety and Emergency Services Minister has clarified what was behind a glitch during a test of the province’s emergency alert system this month.
Mike Ellis said in a statement that “old code in the system” caused nine alerts to be sent out from the system during a test on March 1.
Alert Ready told Postmedia in an email there were no issues to report on their end from the test.
