ReliefWeb’s new humanitarian co-ordination platform goes live
By Avert staff
Say goodbye to HumanitarianResponse.info. ReliefWeb’s newest version of its humanitarian co-ordination platform, ReliefWeb Response (RW Response), has gone live.
The new platform will aggregate operational content from existing humanitarian platforms to provide an authoritative source of information on new and ongoing operations around the world.
According to ReliefWeb’s announcement, the platform is strongly integrated with their existing services as the humanitarian information service arm of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
A prototype of the RW Response platform launched this past June to allow the ReliefWeb Labs team to improve the platform based on user research, usability testing, and website analytics.
New features and improvements include:
- Enterprise search;
- Multilingual support for English, French and Spanish;
- Table of contents option to enable in-page navigation;
- Adjustments to the look and feel of the site.
ReliefWeb says it will continue actively working with clients and use feedback to improve the service, and encourage users to contact firstname.lastname@example.org with comments and suggestions.
