Amid ongoing responses to record-high wildfire activity in B.C., some residents are calling for a centralized emergency alert system to prevent confusion from multiple sources of information.

CBC News reported that residents must choose which real-time alerts to follow: the official B.C. Wildfire app, social media or third-party alert services.
