DEMCON Call for Papers: Deadline Approaching

Avert is once again proud to announce it is a media sponsor of the Ontario Disaster & Emergency Management Conference (DEMCON) to be held in Toronto on October 22-23, 2024.

DEMCON addresses emergency management, providing a global perspective on current and emerging issues for emergency management practitioners. The 2024 program will include an outstanding roster of speakers providing an excellent opportunity for training and networking.

The organizers of DEMCON have released a Call for Papers, with the intention to receive presentations on such topics as:

• Community disaster preparedness, response and recovery;
• Community resilience;
• Climate change.

The program will be of interest to CEMCs, emergency social services responders, practitioners, researchers and decision makers of emergency management from sectors including energy/utilities, finance/insurance, government, manufacturing, technology, telecommunications and transportation.
